YOUTH WORK OF Y.W.C.A.
New Plymouth, Apl. 12. The youth work of the Y.W.C.A. was the subject of discussion at a conference that preceded the Dominion convention being held at New Plymouth. The conference, which was attended by club and staff members of the Y.W.C.A. throughout New Zealand, devoted most of its time to consideration of the programme of the suggested six months training course for volunteer leaders. The national president, Mrs David Smith, presided. At a meeting of the national council which considered the estimated budget for the three years 1945-47 consideration was given to the fact that during the next few years it would probably be necessary to send delegates to regional Pacific conferences arranged by the world council of the Y.W.C.A. and to executive meetings of the world council—P.A.
