HUGE PURCHASE MADE New York, April 5. practically completed negotiations for the purchase of 140,000,0001 b of the British-owned stockpile of wool in the United States, says the “New York Times.” Shipments will be completed by 30th June. The negotiations also include an additional 200.000,0001 b for shipment in the last six months of this year. The British stockpile at present totals 470,000.0001 b mostly of fine wools. The correspondent says the international wool situation is broadening out considerably.
