CRIMES IN YUGOSLAVIA
GERMANS LISTED FOR TRIAL London, April 5. Almost one-tenth, or over one and a half million of the Yugoslav population of 16.000.000, was wiped out during the four years of the Italian and German occupation, states a report by the Yugoslav War Crimes Commission. The Germans in Yugoslavia, largely through fear of Marshal Tito and Partisans, have committed some of their worst crimes in Eurcpe, and the Italians at Ljubljana killed 9000 Yugoslavs and sent 35.000 to concentration camps in Italy. About BMO villages were completely destroyed during the reign of terror. The Italians indulged in every type of torture and murder, even crucifying one captured Partisan. The Germans delighted .in killing as many Partisans as possible, murdering hospital patients wherever they were found and also carrying out regular mass murders. In the village of Krnlca the Germans tied up three Partisans and let dogs tear their flesh until they died. There is proof that on another occasion they slashed the faces of two Partisans with a bayonet and gouged out their eyes and then chopped them to pieces with an axe. The Yugoslav Government has the names of the German criminals, and will insist that they are tried before Yugoslav courts, x,
