PRICE AND WAGE CONTROLS
CONTINUATION ADVOCATED IN U.S.A. (Rec. 9.30 a.m.) Washington. April 8. The Economic Stabilisation Director, Mr Davis, the Price Administrator, Mr Bowles, and the War Food Administrator, Mr Marvin Jones, and the War Labour Board chariman. Mr George Taylor, hove jointly called for a continuation of price and wage controls after V-day in order to prevent inflation. The appeal was made in a letter to President Roosevelt, and the officials said the fight against inflation so far was successful.
