HAPPINESS CLUB
FLAG 500 EVENING The members and friends of the Happiness Club held another successful flag 500 evening in the Civic Tearooms. After 33 games had been played the winners proved to be Mesdames Linton and Sherwood and Messrs Barnett and Wells with 17 flags. The second prizes were won by Mesdames Scott, snr, Scott, jnr, Hudson and Mr Winstanley with 16 flags and the special table prizes by Mrs Parker, Mrs Morris, Mr Morris and Mr Bolton. The travelling prizes went to Mrs Hains and Miss Coleman, Mr Hay and Mr Ruffell. The special prize was won by Miss Hanley. After the cards a dainty supper was served and Mrs Edmondson, president, thanked all present for making the evening so enjoyable.
