“LISTEN AND LEND”

RADIO-TELEPHONE APPEAL TO-NIGHT SPECIAL NELSON EFFORT In still another attempt to obtain Nelson’s quota the Victory Loan Committee is conducting another radio-telephone appeal over 2YN tonight. The last appeal was held on a Saturday night, when very many people were not able to participate. But now Nelson is to have its own special radio telephone appeal. The Acting-Chief Postmaster advises that arrangements have now been completed to enable a start to be made at 7 p.m. Nelson district subscribers should ring “Victory’' when they will be switched to voluntary workers who will record particulars of promised investments in the Victory Loan. These will all be acknowledged from Station 2YN. Whether or not they have made previous investments, all are asked to give generous support to this special appeal. “Don’t let our Nelson boys down—back the attack to the end.” urges the War Loan Executive.
