DOVEDALE W.D.F.U.
The monthly meeting of the Dovedale branch of the Women’s Division was held recently and there was a large attendance. Results of competitions were as follows: Best plate of gems, Mrs L. Hall 1, Mrs H. Eyles 2, and Mrs N. A. Win 3. Flower, Mrs L. Hall 1, Mrs N. A. Win 2, and Mrs S. Win 3. The delegates’ monthly competition was won by Mrs Fowler. A very enjoyable dialogue “Spring Onions” was presented by Misses J. Yuill and T. Fowler. Supper was served by the hostesses, Mrs W. Franklyn and Miss J. Cowin. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
In the previous monthly meeting the winners of the competitions were: Best bag made from sugar bag, Miss T. Fowler 1, Miss F. Burnett 2, and Mrs P. C. Burnett 3. Flower, Miss J. Cowin 1, Mrs S. Win 2, and Mrs Fowler 3.
