Mr W. W. Mulholland (Canterbury) was re-elected Dominion president of the N.Z. Farmers’ Union at the annual conference held in Wellington. Returning thanks, he remarked that this year was his 40th consecutive year of office with the Union, eight of them as Dominion president. Colonel Waite Messrs A. Briscoe-Moore (Whangarei). and K. Holyoake. M.P. (Dannevirke). were re-elected vice-presidents, and Mr W. Horrobin (Waikanae) was elected treasurer.
After four months as Registrar of the Supreme Court and Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court in Nelson Mr A. J. Bennetts has received notice of promotion to a similar position in Napier. He will be succeeded in Nelson by Mr F. B. L Jameson, of Westport.
