DAYLIGHT SAVING
WINTER CON TIN UAT! Q X Wellington. Thi s Day. The Government has decided to extend the Daylight Saving Emergency Regulations, 1943. to .cover the winter months this year. The Minister of Internal Affairs Hon. W. E. Parry). stated to-day that in terms of the -Summer Time Act, 1929, the period of a half-hour daylight saving began on the last Sunday in September and ended on the last Sunday in April of the following year. This year daylight saving would normally end on Sunday. 30th April. The new regulations would extend the half, hour period of daylight saving to cover the intervening winter months between April and September—P.A.
