Berkett, was credited with four wins at the Manawatu Trotting Club’s annual meeting on Saturday. AUSTRALIAN RACING Sydney, April 16. Katanga outstayed the Sydney Cup winner Veiled Threat to win the A.J.C. Plate at Randwick yesterday. Veiled Threat threw out a strong challenge nri the straight, but Katanga, under pressure, held on to win by a neck. Katanga won on each day of the autumn meeting, and his stake earnings now total £15,421. He has proved to be the beet weight-for-age horse in Sydney. Fillies monopolised the finish in the Champagne Stakes, which was won by Scaur Fel by half a neck from Tea Rose. The principal results were: A.J.C.
