FORMER ALL BLACK WOUNDED
Among those recently reported wounded was Captain M. M. N. Corner, well known throughout the Dominion as a former All Black Educated at the Auckland Grammar School, he was half-back for the school’s senior Rugby team and subsequently represented Auckland on 45 occasions between 1929 and 1935 He toured England with the 1935 All Blacks. Before he volunteered for service early in the war he was a member of the staff of the Auckland Savings Bank. After serving in Fiji he returned to the Dominion last year and later went overseas again.
