LIGHTNING STRIKES TRAMS
ELECTRICAL STORM OVER SYDNEY (Rec. 11.35 a.m.) Sydney, This Day. In a violent electrical storm over the city yesterday four trams and a train were struck by lightning. The drivers of two trams were sent to hospital suffering from shock. Three of the trams were crowded with passengers who escaped injury. The lightning fused electricity in main city buildings, affecting lights and lifts.
