Loaded with new comedy situations. Abbott and Costello's latest funfilm, “Hit the Ice,” also features Patric Knowles. Bud and Lou are seen as candid camera photographers. Knowles portrays a doctor romantically inclined. The Long orchestra are entertainers in a novel resort where much of the story's surprising action takes place. Other backgrounds for the picture’s hilarious plot include a hospital, a swank mountain hideaway and a bank. It is in the latter j institution where the candid camera boys secure photographs of an exciting robbery. Stale: Screening to-night, “The Falcon Strikes Back.” Tom Conway does a splenf did job as the debonair detective-hero who finds himself enmeshed in an intricate plot, and he receives notable support from Harriet Hilliard, Jane Randolph, Edigar Kennedy, and Cliff Edwards. The story has an ingenious twist by which this suave Falcon is implicated in a daring bond-theft as a result of the real crooks having planted plenty .of circumstantial evidence to incriminate nim. This necessitates the sleuth’s exerting himself in order to avoid arrest. The thrilling action J>£ the picture includes mysterious killings, and an increasing atmosphere of suspense.
