SHOT DOWN BY SWISS A-A FIRE
ONE OF FLYING FORTRESS GROUP BATTLE WITH GERMAN FIGHTERS (Rec. 11.30 a.m.) London, Oct. 1. Swiss anti-aircraft guns shot down an American Flying Fortress to-day when a group of Fortresses fought a baUle against German fighters over Swiss territory, states a Swiss communique. Other planes crashed. As the result of the air battle bombs were dropped on various parts of East Switzerland, causing damage.
