U.S.A. AND ARGENTINA
RELATIONS MAY BE IMPROVED New York, June 29. The Argentine Government has suggested sending a special mission to Washington to discuss political, economic and military questions, with a view to improving relations between the two countries, says the Washington correspondent of the “New York Times.” Though the American Government has not declined to receive the mission as her attitude has been that Argentina cannot expect lease-lend aid till she severs relations with the Axis, it is understood that President Ramirez first desires to determine the character and quantity of American aid before breaking relations. Informed circles point out that the nef regime declared it would contribute to American solidarity with deeds and not words, hence the disposition here is to await the deeds.—P.A.
