OFFENSIVE PROGRESSES

REPORTS FROM TOWN AND COUNTRY Further pointers to the progress of the loan offensive have been issued by Nelson district headquarters— Motueka’s Women The newly-elected women’s committee at Motueka, sponsored by the W W.S.A.. has already shown signs of robust activity. By permission of the Waimea Electric Power Board a bond selling depot has been established in the board’s office in High street where members work to a roster to keep the selling organisation going. Members are also working on the house-to-house campaign throughout the borough, and in many other ways giving valuable assistance to the men’s committee conducting the campaign for the Motueka district. Subscribe Early With a view to avoiding a last-minute rush in connection with the War Loan, the residents of the city as well as the country areas can give much needed assistance to the staffs of the trading banks as well as the post offices by making their contributions early, preferably this week and, if possible, early in the day. This is just another way you can help the war effort. Liberty Concert The boys of the St. Joseph Scout troop arranged and produced a concert without adult assistance, the proceeds from which (£8) were invested by the troop in the third Liberty Loan. Good work. Build on it boys! A Staff Investment The staff of Messrs J. H. Cock and Co., Ltd., have invested to date £595 in the War Loan.
