BLENHEIM SERVICE CAR
ACCIDENT ON WAKAPUAKA ROAD NO PASSENGERS INJURED One of Newman Bros’, service cars going to Blenheim last evening ran off the road into a ditch on the Wakapuaka road. The car was carrying 16 passengers, none of whom was hurt. The accident occurred just past the Black Horse Hotel at about 8.40 o’clock. The service car, pulling well to the side of road to pass another car, went too far to the side and got on to a patch of ground softened by the recent heavy rains. This soft ground subsided an.'* the car went into the ditch. Another car was sent out from Nelson immediately and the passengers were taken on to Blenheim. The service car was recovered and brought back to Nelson this morning.
