For months she had no word of her husband, Cap tain lan Lyon, of the British Army, who was serving in Malaya. Then she received a cable stating that he had escaped to India. Against advice, Mrs Lyon boarded the ship Nanking to joir him. The ship was captured by th« Japanese in the Indian Ocean.
