DEATH AFTER ACCIDENT
INJURED FARMER’S ORDEAL Whangarei, June 25. The death has occurred in the Bay of Islands Hospital of Mr Lewis Morfette a farmer, of Kaikohe, who had been in hospital since 29th January as a result of a serious accident when mustering cattle on his property at Waimatenui. After being thrown when his horse stumbled and fell, he lay in a gully suffering with a broken leg for two days and a night before he was found. Mr Morfette was 56.
