SILVER CAMBAR BREED
INTERESTING EXHIBIT AT NELSON POULTRY SHOW An interesting exhibit at the Nelson Poultry Association’s show is a Silvre Cambar pullet in the Any Other Variety Utility Class. It is the first time that the breed, which was produced by Cambridge University, has been shown in Nelson, the exhibitor being Mr W. Coleman, of Richmond, who secured a setting of eggs from Massey College. The Silver Cambars have a high production of large eggs but by far the most interesting feature of the breed is the fact that the chicks can be sexed by sight at hatching by the distinctive colouring of males and females.
