tour of the Balkans, writes: “I learned the disappointing fact that the majority of Greeks live in the illusory hope of a British and American invasion. The Greeks refuse to acknowledge reality. The Turks are determined to remain neutral, but North African events had a great propaganda effect in Turkey, where the Press tactlessly damaged Turkish-German relations.” —P.A. The semi-official Turkish newspaper “Aksham” said Turkey’s relations with Britain and America in no way warrant expectations that Turkey will abandon her neutrality.—P.A.
