POLITICAL PRISONERS IN NORTH AFRICA (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) London, June 23. All political prisoners in North Africa, including Spanish Republicans, are to be released from prison camps, says an announcement from Algiers. A report signed by the British and American consuls-general announced that 200 prisoners, of whom the majority were Spanish refugees would soon be granted an amnesty. Berlin radio quoted a message from Madrid that the Spanish Cabinet granted conditional release to 9832 political prisoners.
