KING PINS V.C. RIBBON ON INDIAN (Rec. 11 a.m.) Rugby, June 22. During his recent visit to the Eighth Army in Tunisia, the King stopped at the lines of the Gurkha Rifles to pin the ribbon of the Victoria Cross on Subadar Lalbahadur Thapa. He shook hands and said: “Yours was a very brave act. lam proud of you.”—B.O.W.
