EXTREMELY LIGHT
BRITISH CASUALTIES IN MADAGASCAR (Rec. 11.55 a.m.) Rugby, Nov. 10. The Prime Minister. Mr Churchill, informed the House of Commons that British casualties in the Madagascar campaign from 10th September to 17th October were only 17 killed and 45 wounded. Since then the casualties also had been extremely light. Of the fighting material which came into British hands the Prime Minister said no doubt some would be used for the French forces who. under the French flag, would take charge of the island.
