SOUTHERN SHANTUNG
MAJOR CAMPAIGN AGAINST CHINESE FORCE OF 20,000 JAPANESE (Rec. 12.10 p.m.) Chungking, Nov. 10. A communique announces that a Japanese army of 20,000 with considerable air support launched a major campaign against Chinese forces in southern Shantung Province. The Chinese repulsed a Japanese drive against Sunkai northward of Canton and the Japanese are retreating.—P.A.
