TARGETS AT HAMBURG
STRONG FORCE OF R.A.F. BOMBERS HAMPERING WEATHER CONDITIONS (Rec. 9.55 a.m.) Rugby, Nov. 10. The Air Ministry states: “A strong force of our bombers last night attacked targets at several places in north-west Germany, including Hamburg. There was widespread cloud and severe icing, but a considerable tonnage of bombs was dropped. Fifteen of our planes are missing. One of our fighters this morning destroyed an enemy fighter over the Channel.” It is officially stated that British fighters on patrol destroyed two enemy aircraft this morning, one in the Channel and the other off the north-east coast of Scotland.—B.O.W.
