CONSIDERABLE FEAT
BRITISH ADVANCE IN MADAGASCAR 460 MILES IN 23 DAYS (Rec. 9.40 a.m. i Rugby, Oct. 5. The British column which occupied Antsirabe, in Madagascar, covered 460 miles in 23 days. This, despite the absence of serious fighting, is regarded as a considerable feat in view of the number of road blocks and destroyed bridges.—B.O.W. MAIN RAILWAYS IN BRITISH HANDS Rugby, Oct. 5.
