LOWER GRADE MEN
PROPOSED ARMY POOL Auckland, Oct. 5. Though representations had been made to the military authorities, nothing had been done in connection with the formation of a pool of lower grade men who could be released from camp to replace in industry higher grade men called for service, said Mr R. C Clark, chairman of the Auckland District Council of Primary Production, at a meeting to-day. The council adopted a resolution regretting the delay in establishing a pool of second and third grade men. Mr H. O. Mellsop said a pool of 25 men in each district should suffice.—P.A.
