VISIT OF GOVERNOR-GENERAL
ARRIVING IN NELSON ON SATURURDAY AFTERNOON The Governor-General. Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall. will visit Nelson next week-end. Their Excellencies will stay at the Hotel Nelson, where they will arrive at 4 o'clock on Saturday afternoon. At 4.15 o'clock the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mr.s E. R. Neale, and the Town Clerk, Mr F. Mitchell, will pay a brief call on their Excellencies at the hotel, and at 5.30 Sir Cyril will visit the Nelson Club. His Excellency has a Masonic Lodge engagement in th ’ evening, and Lady Newall will meet members of women's patriotic organisations at the Women’s Club at 8 o’clock. On Sunday morning Sir Cyril and Lady Newall will attend divine service at Nelson Cathedral, and in the afternoon will inspect the Kirkpatrick Masonic Institute at 2.30. followed at 3 o’clock by a drive around the suburbs , of Nelson, accompanied by the Mayor. The Fighting Services Club will be : v:. ted by their Excellencies at 8 o'clock or Sunday evening. Both colleges will be visited on Monday morning, the Boys’ at 10 o'clock, and the Girls’ at 11.30. The Mayor and Mayoress will lunch with Sir Cyril and Lady Newall at 1 o'clock on Monday, and at 2.30 the vice-regal party will depart by aero- < plane for Wellington.
