MILITARY PARADE
IN TRAFALGAR STREET ON FRIDAY I TO ASSIST PATRIOTIC APPEAL j A parade of detachments from mili- | tary units will be held- in Nelson on ’ Friday afternoon in connection with i the patriotic appeal, j The parade will assemble on Miller’s | Acre, opposite the Post Office at 2.15 o'clock on Friday afternoon, and will march off from the Post Office at 2.30 in the following order:—• One troop of a Mounted Rifle Squadron; the Nelson Garrison Band; two detachments from an anti-aircraft battery; one platoon from the 15th Independent Infantry Company; three flights from an aerodrome defence unit; and one company of the Home Guard. The route of the march will be from the Post Office to the Church Steps and return, and this will be repeated after a after a short interval. Captain H. G. Williams will be the marshal in charge of the parade.
