DEHYDRATED MEAT
PRODUCTION FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM Wellington, This Day. "New Zealand is proceeding vigorously with a programme for the production of 100 tons of dehydrated meat a month under contract with the Ministry of Supply in the United Kingdom.” said the Minister of Primary Production for War Purposes, Mr Pol son in an interview last evening. So that the New Zealand Government should be acquainted with the progress which had been made in the Commonwealth of Australia on meat dehydration, added the Minister, an expert was recently sent there to Investigate the position, and his report had now been submitted to the Government. Preparations, which should be complete within three to four months, are under way for the establishment of a commercial plant in the North Island capable of supplying the United Kingdom order. —P.A
