I BRITISH AND AXIS FIGURES Rugby, Oct. 26. Comparative air losses during the j last week show that Britain, steadily , j attacking, lost 48 machines, while the "■ 1 Axis, on the defensive or undertaking ie j only small operations, lost 34. J j Over Britain, during activity on a IS i small scale, the Germans lost five ’ j bombers at night and two by day. ” j The R.A.F. has operated daily and nightly over occupied territory. EspeJ cially widespread raids were made on ie j the night of 21st-22nd October, when | night fighters attacked aerodromes in c j | Fiance and Holland and Coastal Com - mand aircraft bombed Lorient, Brest . ; and a harbour and fuel stores in Den- *! mark. Brest was visited on three suc,s | cessive nights and Le Havre on two 10 ; successive nights.
