STATE VISIT TO IRAN
EMIR OF TRANSJORDAN IA London, Oct. 26. The Emir Abdullah of Transjordania has arrived at Bagdad on a three days’ Stale visit, to his great-nephew, the boy King of Iran. A salute of 21 guns 1. was fired as the Emir landed from a it R.A.F. bomber. He was welcomed by o the Regent, members of Cabinet, and y representatives of the British forces. In an interview before leaving Amman. the capital of Transjordania, the Emir said : “My heart and hand lie with Britain. I have been her loyal friend ’ for 30 years, and I am proud to be her ally.” ~
