NEW COMMANDER
NETHERLANDS INDIES ARMY Batavia, Oct.. 25. Lieutenant-General Ter Poorten has been appointed Commander-in-Chief of the Netherlands Indies army. At the same time he is (he head of the War Department. Lieutenant-General Ter Poorten has been the main advocate of strengthening the air force and is an outstanding specialist in artillery problems.—U.P.A.
