WINTRY CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH

Hail showers in Auckland, falls of snow in the highlands of the North Island and sleet squalls in other centres marked the weather on Friday and Saturday. Visitors to National Park were treated to a white landscape following a heavy snowfall on Saturday morning. There were about three inches there yesterday. Snow also fell at Waiouru Camp.
