RICHMOND W.D.F.U.

GARDENING CIRCLE SHOW The monthly meeting of the Richmond branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the Town Hall. The president. Mrs Hockey, presided over a good attendance. Mrs Hockey welcomed guests from Nelson. Volunteers to assist in the luncheon room at the A. and P. Show were called for, and the required number <6> were secured. A short musical and elocutionary programme was greatly appreciated, all items being encored Solos were presented by Mrs Dryden and Mrs Lewis, duets by Mrs Lewis and Mrs Max. and recitations by Mrs Cooke. Another attraction was the flower display, staged by the Gardening Circle. One new member was elected. The results of the monthly competitions were as follows: Quince jelly, Mrs Tanner 1, Mrs F.
