Parts of the town had heavy ha and hailstones were still lying on Rod Road this morning. Though the rain, while it lasted, w; torrential in Nelson, in the counti little fell. The Cawthron Institute rt cording was 26 points, and at Ret wood’s Valley there was only 2 point The total for the month to date : Nelson is now 9.02 inches. The temperature was low during tl night, being just above freezing point Snow fell again on the ranges whic made a fine sight in this morning dear sunshine after the storm.
