BOMS DROPPED ON VESUVIUS
GIANT FOUNTAIN OF LAVA STEAM (Rec. 2.30 p.m. » London, Oct. 23. One of the RA F. raiders which bombed Naples dropped a bomb on the giant fountain of glowing lava steam, says the Stockholm “Tidningen.” It is believed in Rome that the R.A.F. offensive is linked with the Libyan campaign. The "Tidningen” adds a footnote to the effect that the Italian censor interrupted many times the paper’* conversation with its correspondent.— U.P.A
