LABOUR DAY
GENERAL HOLIDAY ON MONDAY Next Monday, Labour Day. will be [observed as a general holiday. All shops in Nelson will be shut, and housewives will need to stock in for a long week-end, as there will be no I meat or bread obtainable on Monday. Apart from a few friendly cricket matches little in the way of organised functions has been arranged, but if the weather is kind there will be many, who will go out to enjoy their first j picnic of the season.
