AIR CASUALTIES
DEATH OF GEORGE MEDAL WINNER REPORTED Wellington, This Day. The following Air Force casualties were announced to-day: JOHNSTON. Joseph Allan, Sgt_, R.N.Z.A.F., missing, believed drowned as result of aircraft accident. Mr J. Johnston. Auckland (father). HERRICK, Dennis Trevelyan. Pilot Officer, George Medal. R.N.Z.A.F.. previously reported prisoner of war and seriously wounded, now reported died of wounds. Mrs D. T. Herrick, Dunedin (wife). —P.A. Pilot Officer D. T. Herrick won the George Medal for saving the pilot from a burning plane at Taieri aerodrome, Dunedin.
