COMMITTEE SET UP BY MINISTER SALE OF WOOLLY SKINS Wellington, This Day. The Minister of Marketing, Mr Barclay, referred to his recent announcement concerning the setting up of a committee to investigate the present method of appraisal and packing of fellmongering, and the sale of woolly sheep skins in the Dominion, to-day said that the personnel of the committee had been selected as follows: — Mr H. M. Christie, chairman, representing the Government, Mr R. C. Burgess. the sheep skins’ controller. Mr J. Fraser, manager of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, representing producers (nominated by the Meat Board and Wool Council Electoral Committee); Mr H. F. Carter, representing the Master Butchers’ Association (selected by the association); Mr F. D. Burnett, representing the Wool Brokers’ Association (selected by the association). He added that members of the committee met him yesterday for a preliminary discussion as to the order of reference for the inquiry, and the committee has now commenced its deliberations. —P.A.
