GIBRALTAR ROADSTEAD PENETRATED THREE VESSELS SUNK (Rec. 11.50 a.m.) London, Sept. 22. An Italian communique states that special craft penetrated Gibraltar roadstead and the inner harbour and sank 10.000 and 6000 ton tankers, also a 6000 ton merchantman loaded with munitions. A 12,000 ton merchantman loaded with war materials was seriously damaged, after which it ran aground on the rocks and is therefore considered lost.—U.P.A.
