READY RESPONSE IN OCCUPIED COUNTRIES Rugby, Aug. 5. The pilot of a Beaufort torpedobomber. broadcasting a description of an action in Norwegian waters during which he sank a heavily-laden supply ship, told how the V signal receives a ready response from people in occupied territory. His bomber flew over some Norwegian fishing smacks, and the navigator flashed the letter V down to them. j “Down below,” continued the pilot, “1 saw winking back the answer, I three dots and a dash.
