A motion of sympathy j | with the family was passed in the usual] CORRESPONDENCE The Hyland Sheep Society of New j ; Zealand forwarded a cheque for £ 1 Is j as a special prize for Hyland ram hogI get. : Mrs E. J. Hammond wrote thanking i the association for its letter of sym- j i 1 The* Marlborough A. and P. Associa- j ! tion intimated that the association had j decided to allow Nelson members to j enter in all classes at their forthcoming, show at members' rates provided the Nelson Association was prepared to ; make a similar concession. ; l Considerable discussion ensued and !j finally the matter was deferred till I next meeting. The Secretary, Nelson Master Bakers' Association, wrote expressing the hope that the same classes for bakers as were provided last year would be | arranged. The Association would also ■ be prepared to donate £3 3s toward . ' prize money, and there was every pos- ■ jsibility of a Challenge Cup being available for competition this year. j The Master Bakers’ Association is to 'be thanked for its generous donation. } The New Zealand Meat Producers’ 1 i Board wrote regarding the Fat Lamb | Competitions. The president thanked members who assembled at the grounds lor the purpose of planting trees to beautify the grounds.
