INTERCESSION
The Lord is good to all. and His tender mercies are over all His works. The Lord upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up them that be bowed down tPsalm cxlv.9. 14J O Lord ol love. Who are not far from any of Thy children, we pray Thee to have in Thy holy keeping those dear ones from whom we are now separated, and who are facing the perils of war. And grant that both they and we. by drawing nearer to Thee, may be drawing nearer to each other. For the many scattered far .and wide wherever the defence of our Empire calls, unknown to us but risking all for us. who go in jeopardv of their lives on sea and land and in the air. Lord in mercy hear us Def< nd them in peril: may their sensi of dutv inspire their labour, and the! reward be the victory of our cause Ma. hatred, cruelty, oppression—all tha •ead: m misery— pass away, and me live m brc>: :»vrly love, because rejoic ing in Thy Fatherly love. Amen.
