W.E.A. ORGANISER

VISIT TO COLLING WOOD AND TAKAKA An interesting visitor to Golden Bay recently was Mr Rudall, of Victoria University College, Christchurch, tutororganiser for the Workers’ Educational ' "sociation in the northern portion of e South Island. Mr Rudall addressed meetings of the W.E.A. branches in Collingwood and Takaka, his address in each instance being a detailed exploration of the various courses available for study. The Takaka branch of the W.E.A. has been inactive so far this season chiefly because of the money demands on members’ time arising out of patriotic. E.P and Home Guard activities, but as a result of the tutor-organiser’s visit it has been decided to form a study circle to concentrate on a series of six studies in “Democracy.” Mr C. W. Stobie has been appointed convener of a meeting to be held in about six weeks’ time for the purpose of forming the study circle.
