JOURNALIST VISITOR

ON WAY TO MIDDLE EAST (United Press Association) Auckland, May 18. Among the passengers who reached Auckland from the United States by the Honolulu Clipper on Saturday was an American foreign correspondent, Mr Elvadore R. Norderer, of the Chicago “Tribune,” who is on his way by air to Egypt. Mr Norderer was sent to Europe by his paper in 1938, and remained there till the beginning of this year, seeing many phases of the war from the German side. He was with the German armies during the invasion of the Low Countries, and the Battle of France and now has been accredited to the British Army in the Middle East.
