A complete cement plant weighing j 1000 tons has been shipped from Bri- ! tain to Medellin in Colombia. The contract was received in face of ; severe competition by a famous Shef- | field firm of steel manufacturers and engineers who were able to carry out the order in spite of war-time conditions The plant has an output of 87,000 tons of cement a year and provision has been made for further extension.
