PLAY AT INDOOR GREEN t Ten fours competed in the weekly c bowling tournament held at the Juiblee c Green. At the end of the second r round teams skipped by Piper, La r Frentz and Watson had won two games, t Watson and Piper survived the third P game and met in the final. Wood drew 1 close with his first bowl and Sinclair t drew second shot making Watson two i: up bu‘ the head was very scattered, t although the advantage was in Watson’s a favour as one hand was blocked. Piper, v however, killed the head to give one n away. On the last end, with the ex- 1 ception of good shots by Sinclair and 1 1 Stringer the bowls were wide of kitty. ' b When the skips took over Watson again ; r had the advantage, being two up. Piper h tried running shots but both were “near j c misses” and the game ended in favour ■ a of Watson. The other members of the ' winning team were Wood, Sinclair and ! v Stringer. I d So far thirteen teams have entered j tl for the handicap pairs competition and t< it is probable that the draw will be ii made at an early date. S]
