Middle East communique a states: “In Cyrenaica on the night of : £ 12th-13th May bombers of the raided Banghazi. . Direct hits were* ; scored on the railway, buildings at ! military headquarters, and other objecfives but detailed observations of the ; damage was difficult. r “Numerous reconnaissance flights and | ■ fighter patrols were carried out over \ enemy territory in Cyrenaica yesterday. In the Dodecanese on the pre- . vious night the aerodromes at Maritza ■ _ and Calato were attacked. Fires were : r started and many bombs fell near dis- i persed aircraft. “In Iraq our aircraft continued to ! attack rebel positions and objectives of ■ '» military value, such as aerodromes, ] * railways and motor transport. Amara, ] f Rallied, Mosul and the railway line to 1 Bagdad were all raided. “In Central Abyssinia direct hits were ] f obtained on Fort Mend! and machine- < - gun posts and troops were attacked by \ i aircraft of the South African Air Force. ‘ i On the night of 13th-14th May enemy £ aircraft raided Malta.
